SPOKANE - This July, Classics Northwest invites you to soak up the magic of summer with four extraordinary events featuring world renowned cellist Zuill Bailey and the genre bending trio Time for Three. From sunlit afternoons with wine to intimate evenings in Spokane’s most atmospheric venues, each performance blends world class artistry with the warmth and vibrancy designed for our music loving community.
Across three days, you’ll experience everything from Bach under the evening sky to electrifying string fireworks in a penthouse overlooking the Spokane River. Whether you’re drawn to relaxed winery concerts, cozy listening room vibes, or high energy genre crossing performances, this series offers something unforgettable for every music lover.

Music for a Summer’s Eve - Zuill Bailey and Friends in the Listening Room

Zuill Bailey and Friends fill The Listening Room at Hamilton Studio with an electrifying mix of music. With only 90 seats, every spot feels like the best seat in the house. Enjoy a drink from the no‑host bar and settle in for an unforgettable night of music and atmosphere. Doors open at 6pm.
Hear Zuill Bailey, cello, with Greg Presley, piano, performing Debussy’s Cello Sonata, Beethoven’s Judas Maccabeus Variotions, Chopin’s Nocturne in C# minor and Paganini’s Variotions on One String. The energy shifts as the electrifying guest ensemble Time for Three takes the stage for a special 20-minute sneak-peek set.

Spokane, get ready for Time for Three—the trio that turns every performance into a celebration. These three powerhouse musicians blend classical virtuosic technique with the energy of a rock band and the heart of a front‑porch jam. Expect soaring strings and infectious rhythms moving from Bach to the Beatles to bluegrass. It’s a show that’s equal parts artistry and adrenaline.
The air-conditioned Falls Penthouse has a full balcony overlooking the Spokane River Ralls with sets of wide double doors to open for evening breezes. Completely ADA mobility accessible, access to the Penthouse is via elevator. A no-host bar will be available.

Classics Northwest engages in the community with musical visits to retirement communities, hospitals, hospice settings and more along with Zuill in School educational enrichment programs in area schools.
Artistic Director Zuill Bailey, 2017 Triple Grammy Winner, is widely considered one of the premier cellists in the world. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry and engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought after and active cellists today. He is praised for his “virtuoso technique, strong, richly expressive tone and bold, individual manner of playing” (Gramophone Magazine.). Bailey, a top selling recording artist, music educator and award-winning musical innovator, is Artistic Director of music festivals in Texas, Alaska, and Arizona as well as Artistic Director of Classics Northwest in Spokane.
